Wedding Bells – Jenny and Paul

Jenny and Paul married in a ceremony at the PowderMills Hotel near Battle in East Sussex, followed by their reception at the Leeford Place Hotel in Battle.

The theme of the wedding was colour; each of Jenny’s bridesmaids dresses was the colour of the dress that Jenny wore at each of their weddings, – even the groom’s cravats were colour coordinated!

Published Pictures

It is always nice to see one’s work in print, especially when they are used by three newspapers all on the same day!

Here are some quick snaps of the pages containing my photos of the Brighton & Hove Albion v Derby County match, published in the Independent, the Mirror and the Sun, via Pro Sports Images.

Advice on taking photos with an iPhone

Here’s some excellent advice in a video from the BBC Academy on best practice in taking photos with an iPhone…

Screen Shot 2014-09-11 at 01.38.03 pm

Summary:

  • Turn phone sideways to take landscape pictures/video
  • Don’t use camera zoom – move forward instead
  • Tap on screen for auto focus and auto exposure – tap and hold for AF and AE lock
  • Use volume button to take a shot
  • Use HDR when necessary – but not on moving objects
