(Another) New Camera

I’ve just bought a new camera; it’s a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition…

As you can see, it’s tiny, versatile, and can go where other cameras can’t go. It takes photos, shoots video, time-lapse, and photo bursts. It even shoots underwater! Here’s a video shot in my fishpond…

It has wi-fi built in, and it can even be controlled remotely from my iPhone.

Here’s a video from the manufacturer:

I can’t wait to use it at a wedding to capture some great photos, and at football for some interesting images.

Brighton – Then and Now.

Here’s an overlay of an old map of Brighton onto a more modern map.

I wonder what it would feel like to be back there then, knowing what I know now!

Learning Live 2013

I was asked by the Learning and Performance Institute to take photographs at the annual Learning Live Conference, held at 200 Aldersgate, London, 11-12 September ’13.

The after dinner keynote speaker was Andy Cope, while the main session keynoter was BBC Click’s Spencer Kelly.

Here are a few of the photos:

Walk for the Animals 2013

The Charity Sponsored Walk for the Animals was the Cat Welfare Sussex and Sussex Pet Rescue charities biggest event of the year and raised much needed funds for both organisations.

The walk took place on Sunday 8th September 2013, the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Denise Cobb, started the walk at 12 noon at Hove Lagoon and the walkers strolled to Brighton Pier and Back – about five miles.

This year was the thirteenth walk and local animal lovers were encouraged to put on their walking shoes and take to the pavements to support the cause.  Here are some of the photographs I took of the event.
