Beamback at the Amex

The Brighton & Hove Albion v Leeds United match was beamed back from Leeds’ Elland Road ground to fans watching at the American Express Community Stadium.

The match was enjoyed by the fans at the Amex, especially as Brighton took an early lead, and went on to win 2-0, goals from Joao Teixeira and Kazenga LuaLua.

Here are four of the photos I took during the evening…

Here’s Megan Mackey. Megan plays football for the Under 13 team of the Brighton & Hove Albion Girl’s Centre of Excellence.

As well as being an elite football player and a football fanatic, Megan is also a budding sports journalist and recently entered a very prestigious competition for young reporters. The prize was to travel to Lisbon to report on the 2014 Champions League final.

In this competition, young people from each of the participating countries competed to become the national winner, and Megan has been declared the UK winner !

Congratulations Megan!

(Another) New Camera

I’ve just bought a new camera; it’s a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition…

goprohero

As you can see, it’s tiny, versatile, and can go where other cameras can’t go. It takes photos, shoots video, time-lapse, and photo bursts. It even shoots underwater! Here’s a video shot in my fishpond…

It has wi-fi built in, and it can even be controlled remotely from my iPhone.

Here’s a video from the manufacturer:

I can’t wait to use it at a wedding to capture some great photos, and at football for some interesting images.
