Shanice and Domonic’s Wedding

Linda and I were thrilled to be asked to take the photographs at the wedding of Shanice and Domonic in Lewes, East Sussex.

As you can see, Domonic serves in the Royal Air Force as an armourer, and was dressed in full military uniform.  He is based in Scotland, where he met Shanice.

After the ceremony, which took place in the Town Hall, the photographs were taken in the nearby Southover Grange Gardens in beautifully sunny and warm weather.

It was a real pleasure to meet Domonic, Shanice and their families and friends.

Anna and Iain’s Wedding

We were delighted to be asked to provide the wedding photography service for Anna and Iain’s wedding at Samlesbury Hall, in Preston Lancashire.

The day was absolutely perfect for a wedding – sunny skies all day long, and the venue was superb.

Congratulations Anna and Iain – have a long and happy life together!

Wedding Venue – Lympne Castle

Linda and I visited Lympne Castle in Kent to reconnoitre photo locations for Sarah and David’s wedding in August. The Castle is in Kent, near Dungeness, and has a commanding view of the English Channel a couple of miles away.

From a photographer’s point of view, it is an excellent venue. There are a number of external locations which could be used for large group photos: stone courtyards, a lawn with the castle as a backdrop, and a terrace with a coastal backdrop, plus any number of intimate locations for the bride and groom’s photos. If it is bucketing down outside, internal locations for large group photos may be limited, but there are spaces which could be imaginatively used. The wood panelling may cause some snappers a few problems, but nothing that the seasoned campaigner will be troubled by.

The venue is nicely compact, so guests won’t wander off too far. The smaller wood-panelled West Wing ceremony room is close to the Great Hall, which is used for the wedding breakfast and the evening reception – and also as a ceremony room for a larger number of guests.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and are clearly proud of their venue. I’m looking forward to working there.

Here’s a few pictures…
